1984 CART PPG Detroit News Grand Prix 200 is SPALLMAKER’s label debut, following a series of focused self-releases. Built around the infamous crash of race car driver Derek Daly, the album unfolds across ten tightly wound three-minute tracks—each named after an injury sustained in the wreck—translating violence, fragility, and survival into raw, extreme sound. Beyond documenting catastrophe, the work uses accidents and wrecks as both source material and metaphor for the human condition. Housed in a jewel case with hand-framed artwork, this CD is a uniquely poetic statement of harsh electronic noise.
