Ahola & Silander have been around couple of years in the Finnish noise scene with one tape and some compilation appearances before, while Pulsing Rope is fairly new name and this being project's first physical release.
It's hard to describe the unique spirit of this split tape. It could be a soundtrack to old Soviet science fiction silent movie, when Ahola & Silander are stuck inside an engine room of abandoned space ship on forbidden planet and Pulsing Rope in turn manages to steer the ship on orbit and into the further unknown. Well it could be that, but all in all it's a very evocative release.
